January 22nd: NOAA announces that skiing conditions “Might be Favorable” in Utah and elsewhere.
This of course comes with a few caveats:
NOAA’s most recent report finds that El Niño will increase precipitation further west of Utah in February 2024, but that preciptation looks about average for Utah Ski Resorts.
NOAA predicts a strengthening of El Niño in March through May.
NOAA’s prediction for temperatures in Utah’s Ski areas will be higher than average.
